Jingle Ball!

                                                                 Jingle Ball!
Jingle Ball by: Peter Jr. and Peter Sr.

Jingle Ball is an annual event in December hosted by KIIS-FM here in Los Angeles. I got the chance to go this year, and what a grand show it was! (A ball is a party, not a ball that youplay with).

The lineup for this year's Jingle Ball was : Miley Cyrus, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Fifth Harmony, New Politics, Jason Derulo, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Travie Mcoy, Erinque Iglesias, Robin Thicke, and Austin Mahone.   Some of them sang, some danced, some raped, some write their own songs, some don't - but they were all super entertaining.

I was lucky to go backstage and meet some artists.  My brother and I were also treated to the best seats in the house right next to the stage!  I thought I would share some pictures of this special event with you.

Here are Macklemore and Ryan Lewis being interviewed live on the radio before their performance.

Here is Jason Derulo performing right in front of my brother and me.  We had an awesome view!

This is a picture of Ryan Seacrest introducing Macklemore & Ryan Lewis to the huge crowd at the Staples Center.

Here is Macklemore on stage singing his hit song "Thrift Shop."  There was a
big explosion in front of us when the confetti went into the air.  My brother and I tried to catch some
and put it in our pockets to bring home with us.

This is Macklemore right in front of my brother and me.  His real name is Ben.
We got to meet him just a few minutes after he found out he was nominated for seven Grammy awards!
He was excited and so were we!

This is what you see in the hallway backstage for Jingle Ball.  The people at KIIS-FM are super nice hosts, and they sure know how to throw a fun party!  There was a room upstairs behind the stage with all the junk food you could ever want:  Cupcakes, M&Ms, jelly beans, skittles and even cookies.

Have you ever been to a concert?

Do you think Macklemore and Ryan Lewis will win a grammy?

If you could meet any music star, who would you choose?

My Sports Card Collection

My Sport Card Collection

I enjoy my sport cards, and I am on a quest to get more. I think it is a grand idea to get my sport card collection active, so I declared that I would put on my blog. While my friend Bryce was over, we worked hard to complete this post.  Bryce and I are going to have a conversation on sports cards.

"Bryce,  how many baseball cards do you have approximately?" questioned Peter. "I suspect you have around 30."

"The real answer is rounded to about sixty cards, but I have never counted them," answered Bryce.

"If you were to collect another sport, what would you choose?" asked Peter ." I think that you would collect hockey cards."

"Well, if I wanted you to like my answer it would be football, but in actuality your guess hit the dot," said Bryce. "Hockey is my favorite sport aside from baseball, and my favorite player would be the captain of the Los Angeles Kings,  Dustin Brown!" exclaimed Bryce.

This is the cover of my binder, and it says : Peter's Sports Cards collecting and trading. It is one inch binder, and it has over 100 cards in it.

This is the front page of my binder, and they are all Green Bay Packers.  All the players names are: Casey Haward, the Green Bay Packers team card, Clay Matthews,  Randall Cobb, Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson,  another Jordy Nelson, B.J Raj, and another Randall Cobb.

This is Aaron Rodgers.  His number is twelve, and he has a recent shoulder injury. So, his back up quarterback, Scott Tolzien, is filling his position grandly! He is the main quarterback for the Green bay Packers, but he is recovering from a injury.

Do you collect sports cards?
Do you have any favorite players?
Have you ever seen regular quarterback been replaced by backup quarterback?
What's your favorite team?
If you have one favorite football team, name you favorite quarterback, defender, lineman, wide receiver, tight end, and backup quarterback.
I challenge you!

My Dad's trip to London

                                                           My Dad's Trip To London

My dad went to London for a business trip. I asked him to take some photos of London landmarks for my blog, and he came of home with some stellar images to share with you. He even got me some souvenirs from the United Kingdom.

These are the things my dad brought me from London: A street sign, a notebook, pens and pencils and some fabulous post cards.
During the trip, my dad went to a Chelsea Football Club match. They were going up against a German team called Schalke in the Champion's League Tournament. Chelsea won  3-0 in their home stadium which is called Stamford Bridge (notice the street sign above).

My dad could see the entire field from his seats.  It was a great game, and Chelsea went home happy. Schalke did not.

These are double decker buses. They are very common in London.  Usually, they are red. They have staircases in them. A bus ride  in London costs 2 pounds and 40 pence. How much does that cost in US currency?

These three pictures are pictures of Buckingham Palace. On the left, you'll see the front gates. On the right, you'll see the whole front of the Palace. In the middle, you'll see the royal guards who watch the Palace 24/7. Their hats are very humorous to me, because they are tall and fuzzy.

Do you notice anything different about this car?
I'll give you a hint:  In London, cars don't drive on the
same side of the road that we do here in the USA.

This is a London phone booth. They are very known around the world as a symbol of London.

This is big Ben, a gigantic clock in London. If you saw Cars 2, you would have seen Mater, Finn Micmissle, and Holly Shiftwell tied to the gears. It is a very old clock. It is one of the most important landmarks in London.

This leads to the London underground. If you look very closely, you'll see a sign saying "Underground". That leads to the London subway system, which is an easy and fast way to get to around this world class city.

If you want to learn about London, you can go to this link: World Book Online
If you want a direct link to some facts about London, go to this link: London Facts

Here are some facts about London:

  1. London is the capital of the UK (United Kingdom).
  2. People have been living in this amazing city for over 2,000 years.
  3. London has many exciting places such as Buckingham Palace, and the Tower Bridge in London.

How many facts can you come up with about London?
Do you think London is an exciting place?
Have you ever been to London?
If so, tell me about your travels.
Do you know any London football (soccer) teams other than Chelsea?

Rainbow Loom!

                                        Rainbow Loom!

I like to make Rainbow Loom in my spare time because I like to be creative, and what is more creative than making a bracelet?  I think Rainbow Loom is very fun to do, and it is a grand way to entertain yourself. I like to make singles a lot, and guess what?   I have 9 of them!  I have a ladder bracelet and two triple singles with Green Bay Packer colors, which are green and gold.  The reason I have so many Green Bay Packer color bracelets, is because they are my favorite team in the NFL.

Rainbow loom is fantastic and everyone should try it.  It's a very simple way to make creative and fun bracelets.  Mrs. Yollis, my teacher, has a post on her 365 blog, A New Fad.  This is a link to Mrs. Yollis blog, Mrs. Yollis Classroom blog.  If you need assistance in making bracelets, visit this website Rainbow Loom Website.

There are a lot of genres of bracelets for rainbow loom. There are:  singles, triple singles, starbursts, fishtails, zippy chains, diamond, single rhombus, double rhombus, crossed hexagon ring, double rhombus 2, honeycomb, raindrop, spiral, heart shaped, twiszty wistzy, mini bag, zippy chain, tulip tower, liberty twist, zig zag pride, halloween theme, holiday theme, sweetheart, diamond with rings, butterfly blossom, ladder, and upsy daisy twiszty twistz. As you can see, there a lot of types.

This is my ladder bracelet, with Green Bay Packers colors down the middle. I made this yesterday, and it was a stellar moment when I finished it.  I went to my brother and he thought it was awesome.  Do you have any ladders?  Do you like the one I made?

These are my two triple singles.  In one I used green, yellow, blue and white.

The other bracelet colors are green, white and yellow.

These are my singles, they are arranged in an array of 4 rows of 2 (2x4=8+1=9).  They are listed in the order in which I made them.

What is your favorite Rainbow Loom bracelet?

What bracelet do you think is my favorite?

What colors do you use in your bracelets?

Organization, the Key to Success!

Mrs. Yollis, my fabulous teacher, gave me an idea for a blog post: Organization!  I like to have an organized desk and supply box.  It helps me find things easily.  Here are some tips to keep your desk organized:

1. Inside of your desk on the right, you should have all your folders, your math practice book and your journal. On top of all that you should have you supply box.

2.  Inside of your desk on the left, you should have your dictionary on the bottom, then your reading book, next your purple floppy and finally, last but not least, your library book.

This is my desk, taken by a wonderful photographer, Mrs. Yollis.  If you notice my well, you'll see two pencils, a highlighter, a little bit of red (that's my red pen), and finally an eraser.  These are all tools I like to have access to.

This is my supply box.  It is organized just like I like it. It is equipped with crayons, thick markers, thin markers, scissors, headphones, colored pencils, and a highlighter. Bundling supplies with a rubber band really helps keep things in order.

Do you have a organized desk and organized supply box?
How do you organize your desk?

Beautiful Sunset

                                                              Beautiful Sunset

A few days ago, when I was riding on my bike I spotted an exotic sunset. It had red a little bit of orange overlapping each other. My dad took a fabulous picture of the exotic sunset.

In the background you can see the mountains and the beautiful sunset.

Have you ever seen a beautiful sunset?
Have you noticed that the sun is setting earlier lately?

Coast to Coast

                                                                  Coast to Coast

The past two weeks I have been traveling around our fabulous country.  I started off on the the west coast, then visited the midwest, then made my way to the east coast. I spent time in the following states and cities. I flew to Minneapolis, drove to Wisconsin, drove to Illinois, and then flew to New York. Here are the cities I went to: The Twin cities, Eau Claire, Afton, Milwaukee, Green Bay, Chicago and Tarrytown.  After the trip my family and I flew back to California.

I even went to some of the oldest and most famous ballparks in the world! I went to Lambeau field, and Wrigley field. I even passed by Citi Field and Yankee stadium! Here are some wonderful photos taken during our trip.

Here is a picture of me, and my brothers. We are standing under the Green Bay Packers logo.

Here is a picture taken inside of the Packers stadium, In the background you see a goal post, a Jumbotron ( a really big scoreboard.)  The stadium seats over 80,000 people.  The Packers are my favorite football team.

This is Keith from the Australian rock band Atlas Genius.  He played in a building right across the street from Wrigley field. The Chicago Cubs were playing the LA Dodgers.

This is a picture of the Hudson River, which flows from upstate New York past New York City and into the Atlantic Ocean.

I had a great time visiting family and friends all over the country, and traveling from sea to shining sea...

What did you do this summer?
Did you go on an awesome vacation?

Introducing, Cutie

                                                          Introducing, Cutie!

Cutie is a stuffed bear I got from Build-A-Bear-Workshop.   There are many steps in making a one-of-a-kind animal.  The first step is to choose your animal.  Here are a few of the animals you may choose from:  bears, dogs, monkeys, and bunnies.  The second step is to choose a sound for your friend.  Cutie makes a GRRRRR sound when you press his left paw.  Next comes the stuffing and right before you stuff your animal a heart is placed inside.  The last and final step is to dress it with your choice of sports jerseys, hats, sunglasses, T-shirts and pants.  Cutie was born on the 11th of July. Here are some facts about him:

  • He loves to watch me blog, watch T.V. with me, and he sleeps with me.
  • He has cool pair of sunglasses.
  • He likes to watch My dad and I play baseball.
  • He is 16 inches, and 7 ounces.
  • He also LOVES to to play the I-Pad.

He thinks that I am a fellow bear, but I am a human.

Have you ever gone to Build-A-Bear-Workshop?
Do you have a stuffed animal that you love?

A Fantastic Fourth of July Adventure

A Fantastic Fourth of July Adventure

On the Fourth of July (America's birthday) my family and I went to the California Science Center. It was a phenomenal trip. We even saw the stunning Space Shuttle Endeavor, and saw an I-Max movie about the Endeavor and its incredible heroes that fixed the HUBBLE telescope. Two astronauts took a space walk and fixed the telescope.  Here is a picture of the Space Shuttle Endeavor.

'

In the background, you can the the beautiful American flag.   I love the grand American flag, and the Endeavor.

My mom and I,  baked this cake for America and My family. We celebrated America's 237th birthday.

Do you notice anything about the cake?
Have you ever seen the Endeavor? If you have, tell some facts about it!

My Super Skylanders

                                                        My Super Skylanders

My Skylander collection means a lot to my brother and I, and I usually buy them at Toys R Us or Target. The Skylanders are divided into the following groups.  The plant group, an earth group, a magic group, a water group, a tech group, an undead group, a fire group, and an air group. Here is a picture of all the Skylanders I have.

The black circle is called the Portal of Power.  The Portal of Power is the operating system of how the Skylanders can appear on your Kinect or Wii.

This large fellow is Thumpback. He is my favorite Skylander out of all of them!  He is a giant, and he is mighty strong!  He is the giant for the water group and has an anchor for a weapon.

                                                  Do you have Skylanders?
                        Who is you favorite Skylander?

Paintings of Art

                                                                  Paintings of Art

My wonderful brother, Wyatt, made a painting today. He drew a smile face with the colors of yellow and blue. It is very interesting that my brother will draw a painting of a smile face, and not of a whole body. Here is a picture of the paints he used in his painting.

My brother used blue, red, pink, orange, yellow, and green.  He loves to paint and currently he has a broken leg, and can't play any sports. He can go in the pool though.

Do you like to be creative?

If you do, leave me a comment a tell me about a project that you made.

Terrific Father's Day

                                                            Terrific Father's Day!

Today is Father's Day and boy am I excited! First, we had a deliciously cooked meal. We had french toast, bacon, and eggs. After breakfast, My dad, my two brothers, and I went to play a great game of catch. Wyatt, my brother, even tried to hit the baseball while siting down because he has a broken leg. I practiced pitching with my dad by pretending there was an imaginary batter and my dad was the catcher. I was the pitcher and let it rip! Second, we opened presents. In class, we made a pine cone bird feeder. We hung it up in a tree near our humming bird feeder. Here is a picture.

Here is a picture of the presents we got my superior dad. We got him a bag for travel, his favorite socks, cards, and lots of love.

Here is a picture of the card I got him. It says: " Cool dads make cool kids."

What did you do for father's day?
Did your mom or dad make a superior breakfast for you?

A Great Game, Monopoly

                                                         Monopoly:  A Great Game

Monopoly is a game about buying and selling property. My personal favorite property is Boardwalk. Boardwalk is like the king of all properties, but it is not cheap! It is four hundred dollars just to purchase the deed. If you want to put a house on it, you'll need another two hundred dollars.

So in all, it would be six hundred dollars in Monopoly money.  If you can afford three houses, the rent for landing on you property is  $1,400! That puts a lot of money in your account, but also hurts the other competitors and gives you a better chance of winning this incredibly entertaining game.

Here is what the board looks like.  I think that CHANCE and COMMUNITY CHEST are really useful sometimes, but then again, they sometimes send you DIRECTLY to jail for no reason.

These are the deeds to the neighborhoods.  For instance, here
is the Electric Companies deed. It is a utility, just like Water Works.

Here is a picture of a five dollar bill, but it is on top of a stack of $1,500 in Monopoly money.  This money allows you to buy property and make more money through rent.  If you run out of money, you might be able to make a deal to stay in the game...otherwise you lose.

What is your favorite board game?

Have you ever won at Monopoly?

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

MY FAVORITE BOOK SERIES

My favorite book series is Diary of a Wimpy Kid. There are ten books in this best-selling series.  I would suggest these fantastic books. The author is Jeff Kinney, and he is an out of this world writer.

What I like about these books is the characters. I like Greg Heffley the wimp, and Rowley Jefferson the loyal friend. They find their friendship out of control sometimes, but they normally get along very well.

This is my favorite book in the series, Diary of a Wimpy Kid DOG DAYS. It is about Greg and Rowley winding down on their school year. To start off summer, they go to Rowley's country club and order way too many smoothies without knowing that they had to pay for them.

What is your favorite book series and why?
Would you like to read these fantastic books?
